These Days is looking for a Ninja

ninja_teaser

These Days is looking for new web-talents. We thought it would be fun to make a mini-site where you can show your true web-ninja skills. You got to hack your way into our minisite and prove you’re a true ninja! Good luck!

Kitty

I can hear people say it already: “Silent for weeks… and then… this movie on his blog:”.

Sorry for the lack of recent updates here. It’s not my year, this year, but as you might have noticed… it’s almost over ;) I’ve got lots of things planned. More on that later!

Keen, Stunts and Space Quest

I never was a huge gamer, but these tree games where “tha shizzle“! I’m feeling nostalgic. Can somebody please port one of these games to the iPhone ;) Click on the images to bring back those memories.

Still loving Google

A few weeks ago I had the chance to go to the Google Amsterdam office to meet Thomas Steiner, a Google Sales Engineer. It’s because These Days has an NDA with Google that we could go there and talk with Thomas about technical issues with several Google products, like analytics, API’s, etc.

Last Friday Tomas posted this on his blog, a couple fun facts about Google search that I didn’t knew about:

Sometimes it’s the small things that let you feel the difference. In cooking it’s just this little bit of thyme that makes a piece of meat a real steak, in technology it’s easter eggs. Search Google for recursion, and Google will ask you if you rather meant “recursion”. Search Google for ASCII art, then this is what you get for the Google logo:

  ___ _
 / __|___ ___ __ _| |___
| (_ / _ \/ _ \/ _` | -_)
 \___\___/\___/\__, |_\___|
               |___/

Daily Mugshot

Quite useless, but fun to watch afterwards: Daily Mugshot. I took about 103 images so far and could order myself a neat little flipbook, but I’m going to wait with that until I’m fed up with taking a picture of myself every day :P

Köln to Genk in 3 minutes

As you know, These Days colleague Pieter and I went to Germany a couple of weeks ago. On the way home Pieter had the idea to make a stop-motion movie from the trip-home. He ended up with I think over 2400 pictures which resulted in this movie. Make sure to check it out until the end (I’m in it) ;)

Earlier that weekend I made one to, but much shorter, check it out:
