Germany

Not many posts lately because it’s summer, everyone is on vacation and so do I once and a while. Last weekend: Germany. Actually, I thought that Germany wasn’t my cup of tea but it turned out quite different. Koblenz and most of all Cologne are two nice cities. Cologne is definitely the place to be when it comes to shopping! Everywhere: loads of Apple retailers, Muji shop, Tashen shops, Diesel, many, many H&M stores, Crumpler, a couple Fossil stores, etc… practically any shop you can imagine, it’s there! Have a look at the pictures here. It was nice!

Munich is quite nice

I just got back home from Munich from visiting my good friend and digital junkie, Tim Muller. It’s quite a far drive (7 hrs) from Antwerp, but I thought it was a once in a lifetime chance to have a free place to crash there and most of all because of Tim ofcourse. He’s on a two-months course to learn Maya there.

Germany is much more than the wall and the würst, I like it for the beer, the atmosphere and now also for it’s cities. I hear Berlin is great… well, Munich is really nice too! It’s much like Antwerp actually. What I don’t understand about Germany is that they dub everything on the radio/tv. It’s kinda weird to hear Justin Timberlake talk in German on tv… Oh, and they play Apple commercials on tv, sweet ;) Had a great time there, thanks TM!

100% Paris

Back home from Paris. Only four days, but it was great. I forgot how big Paris was and how many amazing buildings there are. We also totally forgot about “Le 14 juillet“. It’s the French National Holiday: all stores are closed but a huge military parade and loads of fireworks over a beautiful paris skyline are special too. Check out my photos on flickr.

100% Amsterdam

As you may have noticed on twitter, I’m on holiday for two weeks. I just got home from two days Amsterdam which was great except for the bad weather. Maybe the weather gods saw my blogpost from earlier, anyway it was raining. Amsterdam is a big but cosy city with loads of canals and boats. I guess it’s a bit like Venice, although I’ve never been there :)

When you go on a city-trip you should definatelly buy the 100% book of the city you’re visiting. Dutch company and publisher Mo’media really have done a great job with these books. Too bad they are in Dutch only. Check out the 100% city guides website. I never go to a city without buying one of these city guids. They are ridiculous cheap in comparisation with others, less than 10 euros. In my collection: New York, Antwerp, Amsterdam, Paris, Brussels and London.

The Big Apple

Zoals herfstmensje reeds postte was New York ZALIG!

The Big Apple, the city that never sleeps, echt een droom die eindelijk tot vervulling komt.

De valies staat gereed, voor de kat wordt gezorgd (dank u Ansie) en volgens Yahoo zit het weer ook wel snor – we’ll see I guess. Spannend! En nu dringend de nest in.
